Risk of car accidents clear as pregnant woman loses baby

In Kentucky, drivers who are in a car accident are expected to stop and remain at the scene to ensure everyone involved is safe and to call for help if they are not. Some, however, choose not to do that and flee. When there is a hit-and-run car accident, it is a criminal act. It makes matters worse when there are injuries and the driver still decides that it is preferable to leave rather than face the consequences of a crash. For those who have been injured or lost a loved one in hit-and-run car accidents, the long-term consequences can be terrible. This is especially true if one of the victims was in a late-term pregnancy.

A crash between a Dodge truck and a car led to a woman losing her unborn child. The truck then fled. According to the investigation, the truck had a livestock attachment and pulled in front of another vehicle that was going eastbound. The vehicle was unable to stop and there was a collision. The pregnant woman, 23, was due to give birth sometime in January. The unborn baby was killed in the accident. The driver of the truck then left. Law enforcement is actively searching for the vehicle that fled and is enlisting the public's help to secure information and find out who the driver is.

Car accidents can turn a person's life upside down in an instant. They can be simply going about their business one moment and then be in a crash, suddenly dealing with debilitating injuries, the inability to work, overwhelming medical bills and constant pain. If a person loses a loved one in a crash, the emotional and financial ramifications can be long-lasting and cause major problems. When the accident kills a child or even leads to the death of a baby just before it is born, it can be impossible to move on. While a legal filing for compensation will not turn back time to avoid the accident, it can help the family put the pieces back together to try and move on.

A truck that ran in front of a car and caused a collision led to the death of an unborn baby. The driver of the truck compounded the incident by leaving, making it a hit and run. There is an ongoing search to find the driver. As the investigation continues, the woman and her family must make sure they have legal help from a law firm that has experience and cares about assisting those who have been affected by car accidents.
